The Rainbow Amateur Netball league which is sponsored by Glow Petroleum kick off on Saturday. This time around bigger and better growing from 11 teams to 22 teams and it promises to be fireworks.
Glow Petroleum Queens kicked off the season with a defeat losing 43-45 to ZDF Queens who arrived in Kwekwe for the game late after their bus had an accident. Mitchell Muzanenamo of Glow won the Best Player award and Mercy Mkwadi won the Golden hand award scoring 30 goals.
New comers Tenax lost 37-59 to Beta with Emily Karimazondo winning best player and Felistas Harifiati winning the GOLDEN HAND.
Defending champions Correctional Queens baptized new comers Rio Zimbabwe 64-13 in a game that looked like a train session for Correctional. Ruwa were defeated at home by PPU 44-39.
