Launched in 2012 Tag Rugby Zimbabwe Trust will this Saturday official open their new building at the Harare Sports Club. The organization uses rugby as a vehicle to build futures by providing relevant and challenging opportunities for adults and children.

Since the trust launch in 2012 the trust has trained 800 teachers and volunteers plus close to 1500 children in all the major provinces in Zimbabwe. The trust also runs an empowerment program known as the Female Inspiration through rugby FITR whose vision is to address barriers that the girl child face when they drop out of school and sport. The empowerment program is spearheaded by female rugby players who then come in and become mentors as they inspire the young girls.

On Africa day Tag Rugby Zimbabwe trust will also official open a state of the art changing room facility at Harare Sports Club Ground. An amazing changing room that is an appropriate changing room facilities for girls and women this becoming a first for Zimbabwean women in sports. The new building includes dressing room and dedicated training rooms plus Tag Rugby Zimbabwe Trust offices.

To end the amazing day on Saturday our Zimbabwe Women’s 15s team will play against Tag International Select team.
