633 participants from 40 countries took part in the Online Kata Championship that kicked off on Saturday and ended yesterday.

Zim Ninja Academy had three of their players participating in the e-sport tournament and they managed to scoop six medals.

Regional sports man of the year Wilfred Mashaya and his two students Sempai Vincent Fambira and 5 year old Wilfred Mashaya Junior all won medals in different categories.

Wilfred Mashaya Junior son to Sensi Mashaya managed to win 1 medal. Winning a bronze medal in the six years and below category. Young Mashaya later finished 5th in the Kobudo short weapons category winning a 5th place medal.

Sempai Vincent Fambira kick started  his campaign by winning a bronze medal in the Kobudo long weapons category for 16 years and above, he then later went on to win a gold medal in the Kobudo short weapons defeating United States, Russia and Italy representatives.

Sensi Mashaya participated in three categories and managed to scoop two medals. Bronze and silver in Kobudo short weapons and long weapons categories.

The e-sport tournament was organized by the Mediterranean Karate Alliance.
