Botswana, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Sierra Leone football association have thrown their support behind South African billionaire and Mamelodi Sundowns owner Patrice Motsepe for the CAF presidency position.

Confederation of African football is set to hold its elective general assembly on the 12th of March 2021 in Rabat, Morocco. Already four candidates namely Ahmad, Jacques Anouma, Patrice Motsepe and Augustin Senghor have declared  their candidacy for the CAF presidency post.
