Zimbabwe netball GEMS captain Felisitus Kwangwa scored a first after she was unveiled as the new signing by English netball team Surrey Storm.
Kwangwa impressed the Surrey Storm coach during the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup but her move to the UK could not happen because the Virtuality Super League rules prohibited teams from signing foreign based players from nations outside the International Netball Federation top 12.

Last week Kwangwa parted ways with Platinum Queens and information gathered by our sources indicate that Kwangwa was about to sign a contract with Surrey Storm.

Today Surrey Storm announced GD Felisitus Kwangwa as their new signing for the 2021 Superleague season.
Kwangwa will wear the number 15 jersey and will team up with 24 year old Nikki Austin who also impressed the Surrey Storm gaffer during the 2019 Netball World Cup.
