Sensei Katie Simpson who has represented England in Shukokai karate for over 20 years medaling at every tournament she entered is fundraising for karate suits for Zimbabwean karatekas.
Already 10 FOC karate suits have been raised and children practicing Karate with Sensi Branco Manyathela will benefit from Simpson donations.. Manyathela is the founder of Branco Body Works which is based in Bulawayo.
Both Simpson and Manyathela specialize in the Japanese’ karate style Shukokai. Asked why she chose to donate to the kids that are training with Branco, Simpson said that since she enjoys teaching students of all ages and would love to see them better than they were before, it was only logic for her to donate to the kids.
Dino Armagan donated the 10 FOC karate suits and Simpson has already reached her crowd funding target of £180 to ship the karate suits to Zimbabwe. For hitting her target Simpson will ran a 10km race on Boxing Day.
