The Confederation of African Football has drafted new COVID-19 regulations which state that a game can take place as long as each team has a minimum of 11 players, with no substitutes.
This new regulation will replace the old one that stated that a match can only take place if both teams have a minimum of 11 players, including a goalkeeper and four substitutes.
If goalkeepers test positive, then the team will be required to replace the goalkeeper with in-field players. The changes are in response to matches failing to take place because players would have tested positive for COVID-19.
In other words, matches can take place with 11 players and no substitute.
