I feel humbled and excited to join the Harare Metropolitan Baseball Association team as their ambassador. And so excited to be part of the group where everyone collective efforts, gifts, and talent are utilized to bring maximum development in all spheres. Sport is a key and crucial element of community development since it brings unity and also a decrease in drug and substance abuse amongst our youths. Through sports, mental health-related issues are also eased, because there is a re-channeling of energy into something that benefits the individual and community. And I am strongly convinced that baseball is a game that will not only bring human development but also increase tourism in the nation if funded we’ll and recognized.- said Faith Mvududu.
Her plans going forward is to see the game of baseball that is appreciated and not seen as a bypass while uptime, but a sport that brings Zimbabwe on the world map. She appealed to corporates, embassies, government, civil societies to help them make the sports code of baseball shine.
