The 2021/22 season will kick off on 10 September 2021 with the first round of the preliminaries, while the group stage will start in February of 2021.

Confederation of Africa Football has announced the schedule of the 2021/22 season of the CAF Interclub competitions as both the Champions League and Confederation Cup will kick off on 10 September.

12 highest-ranked national associations in the latest CAF rankings have been allowed to register two clubs in the tournament. And these are Algeria, Angola, RD Congo, Egypt, Guinea, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Zambia.

Instead of the regular 30 player registration club have been allowed to register 40 players. Nine substitutes will be allowed on the bench instead of the regular seven. CAF has also extended the player registration period on CAF CMS to the 15th of August.

FC Platinum will represent Zimbabwe in the 2021/22 CAF Champions league. From Malawi Nyasa, Big Bullets will be taking part in the tournament.
