Malawian sisters Tabitha and Temwa Chawinga are currently the top leading goalscorers in the Chinese Women’s Super League.

Tabitha continued her fine season after scoring the only goal to help Wuhan Jiangda win against Changchun Dazhong Zhuoyue yesterday.

The Malawian forward hit the target in the 83rd minute to ensure that Wuhan finish the 9th round, which is the first phrase on top of the league.

Tabitha’s goal meant she took her goal tally of the season to six, which is also the same number of goals her sister Temwa has scored this far.

Meanwhile, Zambia international Barbra Banda scored the winning goal for Shanghai Shenglu who defeated Shandong Ticai by a goal to nil.

Nigerian Ihezuo Chinwedu was also on target for Guangdong Meizhou Hakka who draw two all with Beijing BG Phoenix.

Banda score saw her goal tally moving to 4 goals, whilst Chinwendu Ihezuo has scored 3 goals for her club.

Wuhan Jiangda, Shanghai Shengli, Changchu Dazhong Zhuoyue, Jiangsu and Guangzhou Meizhou Hakka have qualified for the next stage in the national championship battle.
