After close one and a half years with no international competition the Lady Chevrons of Zimbabwe will battle it out with the Lady Eagles of Namibia in 5 T20 and 2 ODI matches next month at Trustco United Sports Field in Namibia.
Namibia Cricket hosted a women’s week tournament which saw players battling it out to prove their worth, and after the tournament 14 players were selected to feature for the upcoming tour.
“This will be a good benchmark to see the progress we have made over the last 5 months. We just want to focus on what we worked on as a team and we are ready to put that into practice during our matches. The team I’d looking forward to expressing themselves with an exciting game of cricket against the Lady Chevrons.” – Adri van der Merwe was quoted by Cricket Namibia.
