The academy is part of a push to expand recruitment and is built on the Sports for Education and Economic Development SEED Project, which has trained young players in Senegal since it was founded in 2003.

Fusire will be joining the other eleven players from the continent who were selected for this program. All players will receive scholarships to the academy, which provides academic courses and mentoring.
